Charms of the South Coast
A full day excursion along the Sussex Coast to Bexhill-on-Sea. This small resort is often overlooked by its more famous neighbours, but has a quiet charm and self-ease. We continue to Hastings, overlooked by William the Conqueror’s castle which is accessible by cliff lift. The story of 1066 is featured in the castle grounds whilst the seafront offers a leisurely
stroll along the promenade.
The Bluebell Line
Today we head into the heart of the Sussex Countryside where we board the Blubell Line. Re-opened in 1960, with immaculately restored stations,
vintage steam locomotives and antiquated carriages, this is regarded as one of our best preserved railways. We join at the Sheffield Park Terminus and 'ride' to Kingscote (ticket included). We return via Lewes, on the edge of the South Downs.
