What's New for 2018?

06 November 2017

Here at SunriseDirect HQ we’re really excited about all the new things we’ve been up to lately! Hopefully you’ve received your 2018 brochure by now, but if not, you can order online or call us free on 0808 168 5 158, and, obviously the exciting launch of our brand spanking new website! But what we’re most excited about is the fabulous new holidays we have to offer you!

Below are a select few of the things we think you should take a closer look at - trust us, we know what we’re doing when it comes to holidays!

Medieval Wessex & Stonehenge

Stonehenge has captivated people’s imaginations for centuries, dating some 5,000 years old and dominating Salisbury, and this year we’ve designed a holiday with it as our highlight for your enjoyment!

Join us to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, discover the tools and objects used to help create this masterpiece at the impressive visitor centre and bask in the beauty of this amazing Neolithic structure!

This is a must-do holiday for anyone interested in history, with visits not only to Stonehenge, but the Salisbury Gothic cathedral, the famous dockyards in Portsmouth and a trip to Winchester with its medieval Great Hall and round table – beginning the rumours that King Arthur used the venue with his Knights!

This holidays isn’t all about history though, we also include fantastic sightseeing excursions to the New Forest, with its much loved ponies and elusive deer, and a tour through South Downs National Park.

Oxford, Blenheim Palace & Windsor

If you’re looking for a regal experience combining beautiful architecture with fascinating history then look no further – we’ve come up with the perfect holiday for you!

Enjoy a tour of Blenheim Palace, birth place of Sir Winston Churchill! Set in more than 2,000 acres of beautiful parkland this 300 year old palace is a World heritage site and home to the Duke of Marlborough, who still hosts many different events throughout  the year at the impressive residence.

Royal Windsor is steeped in history and overlooked by the mighty Windsor Castle; we even include a River Cruise on this excursion, allowing you views of the Queen’s weekend residence from the water!

A guided tour of Oxford will show you both the old and new parts of this University City, where we will learn about the colleges and the involvement the city has had over the years in popular TV shows such as Inspector Morse.

An all-round excellent holiday combining beautiful areas of Great Britain, with stunning sites and historic facts.

Beautiful Pembrokeshire

Staying in the tranquil Fishguard Bay, a wonderful spot commonly known as the natural gateway to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this holiday is a real delight for your senses.

We visit St David’s, Britain’s ‘smallest city’, before setting off down the coast to Pembroke where you’ll have time to explore the old town. We’ll treat you to a morning visit to Tenby, with its beautiful beaches and famous Castle Hill, and in the afternoon we visit Laughharne by the River Taf, once home to poet Dylan Thomas.

If that was enough to tempt you on this fabulous holiday, we also take you to Cenarth, where the River Teifi thunders towards the 18th century bridge in a series of impressive waterfalls - a really impressive sight to see - and also a visit to Cardigan, a vibrant town full of heritage and wildlife!

Rothesay & the Magical Isle of Bute

Scotland was recently named the most beautiful country in the world – yes, the whole world! This holiday lets you see for yourself why it won this accolade.

Bute, a stunning Isle of the west coast of Scotland, attracts thousands of visitors every year as they search for the picturesque vistas and relaxing atmosphere this Isle has to offer. Your hotel is in Rothesay, a wonderful Victorian resort overlooking the Firth of Clyde, which has some lovely attractions.

This holiday includes trips to the South of Bute for outstanding views of the Isle of Arran, Argyll and Dunoon, which boasts two bays, parks and a 4 mile promenade, and Tighnabruaich, a pretty village that was promoted as part of ‘Argyll’s Secret Coast’.
