Holiday Itinerary

Sunday: From local joining points we head towards our overnight stop in the north of England.

Monday: This morning we cross the border into Scotland and visit Jedburgh, with its many associations to Mary Queen of Scots and then to Melrose, where the heart of Robert the Bruce is buried in the grounds of the Abbey. This afternoon we continue to the Westerwood Hotel for our five night stay.

Tuesday: To the port of Adrossan for our sailing to Brodick, the capital of the Isle of Arran. We take a circular tour of the island - nicknamed ‘Scotland in Miniature’ - to experience the meadowlands, beaches and bays of the south and the mini-Highland granite peaks of the north.

Wednesday: A full day to Scotland’s capital - Edinburgh. The day is free to explore at leisure where there is so much to see. Edinburgh Castle is the iconic landmark of the city sitting atop the Royal Mile whilst a wander downhill will take you to the royal residence of Holyrood Palace. If you prefer a spot of shopping head for bustling Princes Street.

Thursday: A full day touring the Trossachs National Park and Loch Lomond today. We head to the small resort of Aberfoyle before reaching Callander - the much-loved haunt of Sir Walter Scott. We drive through Glen Ogle and Glen Dochart en-route to the shores of Loch Lomond where we stop at the pretty village of Luss.

Friday: Lochs and Mountains abound today as we head for the pleasant town of Crieff and on to the Highland resort of Pitlochry, renowned for its salmon ladder. This afternoon we head to Queen’s View - made famous by Queen Victoria for its breathtaking views of Loch Tummel and the surrounding mountains.

Saturday: An early start today as we make our way south across the border and return all the way home to our original joining points.
