Brecon Discovery & the Valleys of Song

Highlights: Welsh Whisky Company, Cardiff, Museum of Welsh Life, Barry Island, Brecon Beacons National Park and Visitor Centre, Brecon Mountain Railway

The famous Welsh Valleys are a kaleidoscope of historic pit villages and towns woven into the rising foothills of the Brecon and Black Mountains. Here you will find communities proud of their mining heritage and way of life, immersed in a spirit developed over the centuries when these valleys were the source of fuel pushing forward the industrial South Wales Coast. Known as the Valleys of Song in tribute to the male voice choirs that emerged from the early mining days, this is an area of great natural beauty and we have included some wonderful sightseeing excursions on our itinerary.
