Cider, Steam & Scenery
This morning we make our way to Sheppy’s Farm & Cider Centre in the heart of the Vale of Taunton where traditional farmhouse cider is produced. Enjoy a walk around the farm and orchards, visit the Rural Life Museum and partake in a cider sampling at the cider shop. This afternoon we board the West Somerset Heritage Railway as it winds its way through the rolling Exmoor hills to the popular seaside resort of Minehead, where there is time to explore before returning over the scenic Quantock Hills.
A Stately Safari
Into neighbouring Wiltshire today where our Day Passport Ticket provides access to the excellent Longleat House and Safari Park. The 16th century stately home has sumptuously furnished rooms and marvellous grounds, created by England’s finest landscaper ‘Capability’ Brown. And in contrast the safari park is regarded as one of the best in Britain with amazing animals to discover and a magnificent butterfly garden.
