Captain Cook and ‘Heartbeat’ Country
This full day tour takes the coast road to the seafaring town of Whitby, home of Captain Cook, and then on to the North York Moors. Here we visit Goathland, the pretty village used as the location for the popular TV series ‘Heartbeat’. Our journey continues through desolate moorland, peaceful dales and picturesque villages to return to Scarborough.
Historic York
A full day excursion to the historic city of York. This is without doubt one of our favourite tourist cities, and you will not be disappointed. We have allowed plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping, but there is so much to see you will have to be selective. The majestic Minster, the old Roman Walls, the cobbled shopping area known as The Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the National Railway Museum are all worth considering.
Simply Scarborough
A free day at leisure to enjoy Scarborough, whether that is exploring its many gardens and popular Peasholm Park, wandering along the promenade to the quaint harbour or discovering the castle and the town centre.
Grand Hotel
This large hotel is a Scarborough landmark, situated in the most enviable position overlooking the bay.
