Excursions

Lively Liverpool
This full day excursion heads to the maritime city of Liverpool where we enjoy a morning guided tour of the city which includes the impressive Albert Dock complex, view the famous Three Graces, the trio of buildings facing the Mersey at Pier Head, topped by the Royal Liver Building, built in the city’s Edwardian heyday. Later enjoy free time to explore at your leisure or perhaps take a ‘ferry ‘cross the Mersey’. 

Flavours of Lakeland
A full day excursion as we head for the Lake District, travelling along the shores of Lake Windermere to reach the popular resort of Bowness. Here there is the opportunity to take a lake cruise or perhaps enjoy time to wander along the lake shore or hunt for that special souvenir in the quaint shops and craft centres. 

Blackpool Illuminations
Travel in the months of September and October and Blackpool really comes alive as the famous illuminations light up the seafront for mile after mile of colourful displays and storytelling. Over 1,000,000 bulbs and hundreds of illuminated figures make the spectacle one of the UK’s most visited events and our holidays during this time of the year includes an evening illuminations drive.

Grand Hotel

This former Hilton Hotel is located on the North Shore directly opposite the promenade with views across the Irish Sea, less than a mile stroll from the North Pier, Winter Gardens and famous Blackpool Tower. Facilities include a lounge bar and restaurant. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, television, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities, plus a lift.
