Ullswater & Wordsworth Country
We ascend the Kirkstone Pass with its breathtaking mountain views before sitting back and enjoying a circular cruise on Ullswater, one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the region. We continue to the market town of Keswick for some free time before concluding our day in the idyllic village of Grasmere, where the Lake District’s most famous poet, William Wordsworth, lived.

Windermere and Potter Tales
To Ambleside this morning at the tip of Lake Windermere. Here we enjoy a cruise on the fabled waters of the regions most visited lake to the popular tourist centre of Bowness-onWindermere. Back on land we take a visit to the Beatrix Potter Experience, showcasing the popular children’s author whose Peter Rabbit novels were written from her home close by. This afternoon enjoy an included afternoon tea and free time to explore Windermere town. 

Steaming in the Lakes
To the western edges of the Lakes today as we board the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway as it climbs through spectacular scenery to the foot of some of England’s highest mountains. Afterwards we head to Whitehaven where the Rum Story is worth a visit, completing our day in Cockermouth.
