Excursions

Re-discovered Tracks 
This morning we make our way to the mountain village of Betws-y-Coed, famous for its local crafts and spectacular waterfalls. We continue to Bedgellert where we join part of the Welsh Highland Railway - a long-lost narrow gauge railway re-opened in 2012 - as it meanders through the Welsh countryside to historic Caernarfon where its magnificent castle guards the entrance to the Menai Straits. 

Through the Foothills of Snowdon 
A full day excursion as we make our way to Blaenau Ffestiniog where we join the famous Ffestiniog Railway as it winds through 14 miles of the Vale of Ffestiniog to the seaside resort of Porthmadog. This afternoon we drive through the heart of Snowdonia, reaching the popular town of Llanberis, set at the foot of Mount Snowdon before ascending the memorable Llanberis Pass.

On this holiday we also include a free day to explore Llandudno at your own pace. Perhaps ascend the Great Orme by the famous tramway or simply relax along the resort’s seafront.
