Excursions
Sunday: From local departure points we make our way to our overnight hotel.
Monday: Crossing the border we climb through the Grampian Mountains to reach Strathpeffer and our base for four nights.
Tuesday: A day at leisure to enjoy the pretty resort of Strathpeffer.
Wednesday: A highlight of the holiday today as we board the spectacular Kyle Line for a rail journey across the North West Highlands. This enchanting journey winds its way to the Kyle of Lochalsh where we re-board our coach, returning through scenic Glen Shiel and along the shores of fabled Loch Ness.
Thursday: A full day excursion into Wester Ross by the remote Destitution Road, with its lonely bays and empty beaches, to reach the little tourist centre of Gairloch. From here you can look across the sea to the Isle of Skye before returning by the shores of Loch Maree and Kinlochewe.
Friday: Today we leave Strathpeffer and head south on our way to our overnight hotel.
Saturday: We return home to our original departure points.
Highland Hotel
Situated in its own grounds and gardens, in the centre of Strathpeffer, the Highland Hotel sits amidst the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Highlands, offering stunning views and traditional Highland hospitality. The hotel features a restaurant, lounges, a terrace and a bar, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities, television and tea and coffee making facilities.
